Dr. Dipanjan panda is Senior Consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology at Indraprastha Apollo hospital. Before joining IAH he was working as Associate Professor and head of the department of Medical oncology at Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences which is an autonomous super specialty institute under Govt of NCT of Delhi.
Dr Panda had his oncology training from All India institute of Medical Sciences,(AIIMS) New Delhi which is one of the premier medical institutes in this part of the world. After completing his fellowship (DM) in medical oncology He took post-doctoral research fellowship at Brigham &Women hospital, Harvard medical school, Massachusetts, USA, from where he later transitioned to faculty position in India.
He joined Institute of Liver & Biliary sciences in the year 2011 where he was credited with starting the medical oncology department. He was also credited with starting the first dedicated Hepato Pancreato Biliary (HPB) Oncology unit in the country and also staring a PDCC course in HPB oncology.
